Anne Sinzobakwira, 38, of Perry was arrested Saturday on charges of first-degree kidnapping and third-degree sexual abuse-forcible rape.

Perry Police Department Chief Eric Vaughn issued a statement Sunday morning about the arrest Saturday of Anne Sinzobakwira, 38, of Perry on charges of third-degree sexual abuse, a Class C felony, and first-degree kidnapping, a Class A felony.

Chief Vaughn’s statement follows:

The arrest stems from an investigation that began on 06-12-2020 at about 2120 hrs. A parent had called to report their 14-year-old son missing. A short time later, officers observed the juvenile leaving Anne’s residence.

The juvenile was then interviewed by officers. The juvenile stated that Anne had appeared at his bedroom window and threatened to harm him if he did not comply with what she told him to do. She directed him to climb out the window and go to Anne’s residence.

It is alleged that once there, she committed a sexual act upon the juvenile.

A search warrant was conducted of Anne’s residence and evidence collected. She was then taken into custody at approximately 0430 hrs on 06-13-2020 and charged with First Degree Kidnapping and Third Degree.

She is current being held at the Dallas County Jail on $1,000,000 bond.
