  • A caller said his dog was lost.
  • A caller said “he saw a couple arguing, and the female looked uncomfortable.” An officer responded but did not find the couple.
  • A caller reported “a suspicious vehicle driving up and down” and “squeeling its tires.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “her neighbor had passed away yesterday” and now people were “going through his belongs, and they don’t have permission to.” Officers responded and made contact with several people, including a woman with “paperwork showing she” had “medical power of attorney” for the deceased person. An officer told the woman “that the paperwork didn’t give her a right to be in” the deceased person’s “apartment after he was deceased,” and “the others were advised that they were no longer supposed to be in the apartment.” The officers also made contact with the deceased person’s brother and made him aware of the situation.
  • A caller said “last night someone had written ‘SOS’ in fecal matter on the men’s bathroon floor in the handicap stall.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported a vehicle “in the parking lot with two small children unattended.” An officer responded but did not find the vehicle.
  • A caller said “her house was egged last night” and “her porch light was broken” as a consequence. An officer responded.
  • A caller said “her ex-boyfriend and his friend had stolen money from her” in the amount of “$100 from her suitcase.” Officers responded and determined the theft occurred in Linden. The Dallas County Sheriff’s officer was notified.
  • A caller said someone “was not alllowing his father to leave with his coach motorhome.” An officer responded and learned “there was a disgreement over the bill for work done to a motorhome.” The owner of the vehicle “paid the bill and took the motorhome.”
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “her son had been assaulted while he was working,” and the assailant was “another employee.” The woman said “her son wanted the incident documented” but “did not want to press charges at this time.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “she could hear yelling going on in” a nearby apartment unit. Officers responded and learned the neighbors “were only having a loud conversation,” and “no argument had taken place.”
  • A caller said “her grandson has her vehicle.” The caller “asked if we see the vehicle, to tell her grandson to go back home.” An officer was advised.
  • A caller said a child “was crying and saying her sister forgot about her and headed towards the high school.” An officer responded, found the crying child and “gave her a ride” to where “she was left with a family member.”
  • A caller said “she could hear gun shots.” An officer responded and determined the “shots would have been coming from outside of city limits.”
  • A caller said “her neighbors were being really loud.” An officer responded.
  • A caller lodged “a complaint about a barking dog.” Officers responded but did not find the barking dog.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
