December 17, 2016

  • A caller said “his parents” were “having a domestic dispute.” The caller said alcohol and weapons were not involved. Officers responded.
  • A caller reported “a 9-year-old child at the library” who was “supposed to be picked up.” The “child did not know his father’s phone number.” An officer responded, and the child was “returned home safely.”
  • A 16-year-old juvenile from Perry was issued a citation for driving without a license.

December 18, 2016

  • A caller said “he heard a collision sound directly south of his residence” shortly after midnight. Officers responded and determined a hit-and-run accident occurred in the 1400 block of Otley Avenue when an eastbound vehicle collided with a legally parked car, causing an estimated $2,000 in damage. The “suspect vehicle then fled the area eastbound.” An investigation is ongoing.
  • A caller said “a female was at her residence.” The caller said she “recognized her face but could not remember who she was.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded.
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded.
  • Officers of the Perry Police Department served “a no-trespass order to a male who is harassing” an employee at a local business.
  • A caller said he “had a bunch of charges on his account that were pending from today that he did not authorize.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said he lost his billfold.
  • Jake Alan Chrissinger, 22, 2946 Kading Road, Perry, was arrested on a charge of fourth-degree theft.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
