  • A caller from Texas requested a welfare check on a Perry resident. An officer responded.
  • A caller said “she went in the ditch” and was “okay but needs help getting out.” An officer responded and “stood by while a tow service arrived.”
  • A wireless 911 caller said she was 10 years and she “was at the store with her parents.” The child said “she wasn’t able to see the screen and thinks she accidentally pressed the wrong button.” An officer was advised.
  • A caller “requested a welfare check for her mother, who has taken several pills due to being confused about them.” An officer responded, and the Perry First Responders were paged.
  • A caller said his dog was lost. A dog matching the description was brought to the offices of the Perry Police Departmant at 908 Willis Ave. by “a couple of girls.” The caller was advised, and the “dog was picked up.”
  • A caller said “the families involved in yesterday’s issues are back and had a verbal altercation” with someone. Officers responded.
  • A caller said her son’s dog was lost. A dog matching the description was brought to the offices of the Perry Police Departmant at 908 Willis Ave. The caller was advised, and the son “came to pick up the dog.”
  • A caller said “his ex-girlfriend was supposed to have an account changed back to her name, but she still has not done so.” An officer responded and made contact with the ex-girlfriend, who said “she is going tomorrow to make a payment and transfer it over to her name.”
  • A caller reported “two dogs inside a” vehicle, and “the dogs were shaking.” An officer responded but did not find the vehicle.
  • A caller said “her son is running away from her and not wanting to come home.” An officer responded, located the child and returned him to his mother.
  • A caller from Texas requested a welfare check on a Perry resident. An officer responded.
  • A caller “reported hearing a female yelling for help.” An officer responded and made comntact with someone at the “residence where the yelling was coming from,” and the person said “everything was okay.”

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
