  • Nazir Coffie, 18, 6121 Creston Ave., #17, Des Moines, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension.
  • A caller said two dogs were running at large. Officers responded.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 90 Willis Ave. with a dog he caught running at large. The “dog had a collar on with his name and a phone number.” The owner was contacted, and “he came and picked up the dog.”
  • A caller reported “a suspicious vehicle at the end of her driveway.” An officer responded.
  • A caller requested “an officer go speak to her children about not stealing.” The caller said “they have stolen things from their neighbor’s, but they will not listen to her.” An officer responded.
  • Juan Jose Merlos-Melendez, 50, 623 Fourth St., Perry, was arrested on a Dallas County warrant on an original charge of second-degree sexual abuse.
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded but did not find the dog.
  • Officers of the Perry Police Department issued 12 citations to vehicles parked in violation of the snow ordinance.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
