  • A caller said “she got a call from Publishers Clearing House, telling her she needed to send money to claim her prize.” The caller said “she is sure it’s a scam.” The caller was advised “to not give personal information and to not send any sort of money.”
  • A caller said he “received a toll road bill from Illinois and wanted to know why.” The caller said the vehicle “is reistered to him, but he was letting someone else drive it.” An officer responded and explained that “he would have to pay it since the vehicle is registered to him.”
  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department was “flagged down” and informed by a citizen “that someone in an orange-colored SUV drove by and took a picture of her kids while they were out shoveling.” The citizen said she wanted to make the officer aware.
  • A caller said “some kids were trying to steal the hat and scarf off the dinosaur at the Sinclair station.” An officer responded.
  • A caller “requested to have an officer stand by while he removed some belongings from the residence.” The caller said he was “afraid his father will start yelling at him.” Officers “responded and stood by.”
  • A caller said a vehicle in the parking lot was “making them uneasy.” Officers responded.
  • A caller said “he heard a woman screaming.” Officers responded.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
