- A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with a wallet left at her workplace. An officer responded.
- A caller said “she heard her mom’s boyfriend hitting her,” and “they were arguing.” Officers responded and “found that it was a verbal dispute between the boyfriend and girlfriend. Both parties will stay away from each other tonight.”
- Martin Vidal, 30, 1419 16th St., Perry, was arrested on charges of third-offense OWI, possession of methamphetamine and driving uder suspension.
- A caller “requested an ambulance for” someone residing outside the city limits of Perry who “just called her and appeared to be very confused.” The caller “said this was not normal for him.” The Dallas County EMS was paged, and the Dallas County Sheriff’s office was notified.
- A caller said “sometime last night someone stole two bikes from their garage.” An officer responded.
- A caller said she received a call from someone claiming to be from MidAmerican Energy, who said “that she is behind three months’ worth of electricity.” The caller said she “requested to speak with a manager, and they hung up.” The caller said “she called MidAmerican, which advised everything is fine on their end.” The caller said she “just wanted to report it.”
- A caller said a nearby “dog is leashed up” outside, and the caller “is concerned for the amount of time it has been out there.” An officer responded.
- A caller “requested an officer assist with removing a bat from her bedroom.” An officer responded.
- A caller said she caught a dog running at large. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility. Another caller later reported a lost dog matching the description of the found dog. The caller was told “that the dog was at the pound and to call back in the morning after 7 a.m. to arrange a pickup.”
*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
