January 26, 2018

  • A caller said he “received an email from a source claiming to be the FBI” and directing him to “send a money order of $120 in order to claim lottery winnings of $35 million.” Officers responded, explained to the caller that he was being tempted by an email scam and advised the caller “not to open the emails that he does not recognize.”
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. in order “to speak with an officer about getting a no-contact order against her daughter’s baby’s father.” An officer responded.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said she was “not feeling safe in her home” since someone “had taken her phone and destroyed it.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “she was being harassed” by her “neighbors and the landlord. They were trying to make her leave her apartment, and she is tired of it.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “his ex-girlfriend kept calling his new girlfriend and wouldn’t leave them alone.” An officer responded and advised the caller “to adhere to what the attorneys were stating.”

January 27, 2018

  • Officers of the Perry Police Department performed a funeral escort.
  • Kaleb Austin Wright, 24, 214 S. First St., Panora, was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension.
  • Zachary Lee Flinn, 24, 1215 18th St., #4, Perry, was arrested on Dallas County warrants on charges of probation violation on an original charge of first-offense OWI.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “a small pink bike has been setting on the north side of the road.” An officer responded, “picked up the bike and took it ot he shed.”
  • A caller from the dallas County Hospital reported “a 15-year-old female was bitten by a dog in Perry.” An officer “responded to the hospital, spoke with the victim” and “attempted to locate the dog.”
  • A caller said someone “tried to take her dog” and “physically attacked her.” The caller was informed the incident “happened outside of the city and that she needed to contact Dallas County” law enforcement.
  • A caller asked to speak with an officer “regarding a strange situation that had just occurred.” The caller said a visitor told the caller “that her phone is bugged,” and the “Perry Police Department is involved in a conspiracy with the FBI.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “she has been having issues with one of her neighbors.” The caller said the neighbor “moved her walker so she could park,” and “she had no right to touch or move her walker.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “a tenant had called her” about someone “filling the dumpster” and “leaving a mess behind.” An officer responded and made contact with the illegal dumper, who said “he thought it would be okay for him to throw some cardboard away in the dumpster” but “agreed to go get his cardboard.”

January 28, 2018

  • Lucas Hunter Feltz, 27, 2721 eastern Ave., Perry, was arrested on a charge of first-offense public intoxication.
  • A caller said her dog was lost. The caller called again and said her dog was found.
  • A caller said “he saw children playing on ice” and “was concerned about their welfare.” An officer responded but did not find any children playing on the ice.
  • A caller reported seeing “a man walking westbound on the bike trail from the area of Tyson, carrying a high-powered rifle with a scope.” The Dallas County Sheriff’s office was alerted.
  • A caller said her “ex-husband” was “refusing to leave.” An officer responded, and the “male half left without incident.”

January 29, 2018

  • Jerrad Michael Runge, 38, 1411 Fourth St., Des Moines, was arrested on a Dallas County warrant for probation violation on an original charge of driving while barred and on local charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, driving while suspended, driving without insurance, probation violation-driving while suspended and driving while barred.
  • Rona Renee Cross, 49, 2902 Hancock St., #83, Bellevue, Neb., was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of fifth-degree theft-possession of stolen property.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
