June 1, 2017

  • A caller from a local bank said “they received a fake $5 bill.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “he found some fireworks on his porch” and was “concerned someone was trying to burn his house down.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported “a man who kept walking up to people going in and out of the store.” The caller said the man “looked like he was trying to get money from them.” An officer responded but did not find the man.
  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department received a report of “three small children left in a vehicle.” The officer responded an adult was with the children.
  • A caller said he “was attacked by a brown pitbull dog.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded but could not catch the dog.
  • A caller said someone was “walking past her residence in the street and on the sidewalk” and “hollering insults at her.” Officers responded and “possibly learned a violation of a no-contact order occurred.”
  • A caller said her cat was lost.

June 2, 2017

  • Hector Luis Espinoza, 19, 2131 Third St., Perry, was arrested on a Dallas County warrant for probation violation on an original charge of eluding.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
