May 31, 2019

  • A caller reported potential pornographic material in the 1200 block of 18th Street. The case is under investigation.
  • A caller reported a theft. The loss was estimated at $405.50. The case is under investigation.
  • An officer responded to a shoplifting case in the 1200 block of 141st Street. The suspect was not on scene. The case is under investigation.
  • A caller reported a vehicle struck a sign at the entrance to Wiese Park. The sign was bent, and the vehicle sustained damage before leaving the scene. The case is under investigation.
  • A caller reported harassment in Pattee Park. Officers responded.
  • Officers responded to the 900 block of Willis Avenue for a domestic disturbance.
  • Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 1800 block of W. Fourth Street.

June 1, 2019

  • A caller reported harassment in the 600 block of Third Street.
  • Kaled Rune Ackerman, 22, was arrested on a charge of OWI and issued a citation for speeding.

June 2, 2019

  • Officers responded to a harassment complaint in the 500 block of Clearview Drive.
  • Officers responded to a vehicle collision in which a parked 2005 Chrysler was struck in the 2800 block of First Avenue. The suspect vehicle is a gray 1999 Toyota. The case is under investigation.
  • Officers responded to the 700 block of 15th Street for a possible shoplifter. The case is under investigation.

  1. I spotted some disturbing information in the call log. It list the addresses of people who have reported to the police that they will be on vacation. We call the police for this service so they can maybe do an extra drive by or two each day to keep an eye out for us. Then you publish the call log with out redacting this information. That is just like putting a flashing neon sign in the front window that says, “GONE ON VACATI0N.” Is there any way that as a responsible journalist you could redact this type of entry in the call log?
