June 6, 2018

  • A caller said “her neighbor’s dog came under the fence that divides the properties and tried to go after her dog.” An officer responded and made contact with the neighbor, who said “that she would take measures to correct the problem.”
  • A caller said her dog was lost. The caller called again and said her dog was found.
  • A caller said “there is money missing from her purse.” The caller said “she took sleeping medication last night, and her husband did not lock the door this morning when he left for work.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said he lost his billfold.
  • A caller requested a welfare check on someone she believed “may be intoxicated and depressed.” Officers responded and made contact with the person, who “was fine, just sad.”
  • A caller said he received a scam phone call. An officer responded.
  • Amanda Woods of 1617 W. Fourth St. was issued a citation for second-offense dog at large.
  • A caller reported “a large tree limb in the street.” An officer responded and removed the limb from the roadway.
  • A caller reported an electricity outage on the west side of Perry. An officer responded.
  • A caller said her dog was lost.
  • A caller reported a suspicious “male on the roof of a building.” Officers responded but did not find the man on the roof.

June 7, 2018

  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department found a tree limb partially blocking the roadway. The Perry Public Works Department was notified.
  • Amy Dawn Rodriguez, 35, 126 Third St., Rockwell City, was arrested on charges of driving under suspension, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
