  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. “with a plastic baggie of white, tiny rocks. They had a strong odor. She was concerned because it is all over her yard. Her dog has been sick, and she would like an officer to look at it.” An officer responded and “spoke to the owner of the residence” where the woman lived “about the suspicious substance.” The owner told the officer “it was moth ball crystals.” The owner said “she was having problems with dogs” defecating in her yard “and not being cleaned up by their owners.” The owner said she “put the moth ball crystals out on her yard to deter the dogs.” Research by the officer revealed “that the substance is harmful to dogs and cats and can lead to illness.” The officer told the owner “that she should avoid putting any more of the crystals on her property.”

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
