March 14, 2018

  • Stephanie Kay Hansen of 2001 Sixth St., Perry, was issued a citation for dog at large.
  • A caller said someone “called him a dirty name when he saw him.” An officer responded and made contact with the caller and the name caller and told “both to stay away from the other.”
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with “shotgun shells he doesn’t want.” An officer responded, and the items were “logged into evidence.”
  • A caller said “a check from her account was cashed at a convenience store in Denison in the amount of $92.79,” and the caller “believes the person who wrote the check was her ex-boyfriend.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported “a man going through their dumpster, throwing trash on the ground.” An officer responded and found “no one in the area” and “no trash on the ground.”
  • A caller reported nuisance burning. An officer responded and found “an elderly male sitting by a recreational fire.”
  • A caller from the Dallas County Hospital “requested an officer respond to the hospital regarding a dog bite.” An officer responded.

March 15, 2018

  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department “clocked a vehicle going 65 mph down Willis.” Officers responded but did not find the speeding vehicle.
  • A caller reported “a male sleeping in his vehicle in the parking lot.” The caller said “they would like him to move on.” An officer responded and directed the man from Davenport to move along.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
