May 9, 2017

  • A caller “requested a welfare check” on someone “who has not responded for dialysis.” An officer responded and made contact with the person. “He was okay.”
  • A callerĀ “requested a welfare check on his daughter,” who “has in the past taken meds.” An officer responded and found “the female is okay.”
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. While an officer responded, the caller “caught the dog” and “made contact with the owners,” who were “on their way to get their dog.”
  • A dallas County Deputy Sheriff said “he will be removing a child from” a private residence, and he “requested an officer respond to stand by as the father may be upset.” An officer responded and stood by.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department with an EBT card he found. The card was “placed into evidence.”
  • A caller “reported a lot of junk on the north side of the garage” at a neighbor’s residence. The caller said “it has been there for over a month.” The Perry Building Official was notified.
  • A caller said “she found out her son had left the school.” An officer responded.
  • A Perry Community School District bus driver reported a school bus violation. An officer responded.
  • A Perry Community School District bus driver reported a school bus violation. An officer responded.
  • A caller “reported an older female on a scooter” who “appears to be stuck.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “there is a dog with no water, and it is outside in this heat.” An officer responded the the “dog was given more water.”
  • A caller said her brother-in-law “just slashed his sister’s tires.” The caller said the brother-in-law “was intoxicated and possibly still had the knife on him.” Officers responded.

May 10, 2017

  • A caller said “he wasn’t sure what was going on at his neighbor’s residence, but it looked suspicious.” The Dallas County Sheriff’s office was notified.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
