May 13, 2018

  • A caller said he believed his leather jacket was stolen. An officer responded.
  • Austin Lee Arteman, 19, of 2203 N. 15th St., Adel, was arrested on a charge of fourth-degree theft.
  • A caller said she caught a dog running at large. An officer responded.
  • A caller said a man came to his house and asked for someone, “and there was no one that lived there with that name or any of their neighbors that had that name.” An officer responded but did not find the man.
  • A caller from Arizona said he received a Facebook message from someone “who lives in Perry,” and “she asked for money, and in return he would get more money.” An officer responded and told the Perry resident “that her Facebook account had been hacked” and advised her to change her Facebook account password.
  • A caller said “someone was blowing grass in the street after they mowed it.” An officer responded and made contact with the mower, who said he would clean up the clippings when he was done mowing.

May 14, 2018

  • A caller said someone was “knocking on his bedroom window.” The caller said the knocking “usually happens around midnight and 4 a.m.” Officers responded but did not find anyone in the area.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
