  • Emily Dawn Betsworth, 21, of Indianola was arrested on a charge of first-offense OWI.
  • A “worker at Tyson called, requesting a ride to Johnston. She was told we do not provide that service and was given a number for a taxi service.”
  • A caller said someone “had called her and thanked her for blocking his daughter from communicating with her and her daughter, which caused her to go to the police.” The caller said the person who called her “was just being mean and harassing her.” An officer responded and made contact with the harasser, who said “he was trying to be sincere with her.” The officer “advised him not to communicate with” the caller “again.”
  • A caller said “he could hear a domestic occurring next door.” Officers responded.
  • A caller said “someone was cutting down trees” and “a branch hit the wire, and now the house does not have electricity.” An officer responded, and the utility company was notified.
  • A caller said “her neighbor’s door is wide open.” Officers responded and made contact with the neighbor, who was working on the house. The neighbor asked the officers to direct the caller “to not call about” his “house anymore because this was the second time she has called.” The caller “was advised.”
  • A caller said “a vehicle had hit a deer in front of his home.” An officer responded.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
