  • A caller said she caught a cat running at large. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility. The caller later called again and said she caught another cat running at large. Another officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility.
  • Officers of the Perry Police Department conducted a funeral escort.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said he lost his passport. An officer responded.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “she believes her daughter” is “in an abusive relationship with her boyfriend.” An officer responded.
  • A caller from the Dallas County Hospital reported “a patient that is refusing to stay in his room” but “keeps wandering around the hospital, disrupting other patients.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “the neighbor’s dog has been barking all day.” An officer responded but “did not hear a dog barking.”
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said his dog was lost. The man later called and said his dog was found.
  • Vivienne Ayon of 1305 Sixth St., Perry, was issued a citation for second-offense nuisance burning.
  • A caller said “someone lost a ladder on Iowa Highway 141.” The Dallas County Sheriff’s office was notified.
  • A caller reported seeing “a group of kids,” and it “looked like food had been thrown at vehicles parked in the area.” An officer responded but “did not see any food on vehicles.” The officer made contact “with a group of approximately 12 juveniles,” who said “they were not vandalizing anything.”
  • A caller said “his ex-wife” “isn’t home, and he wants to take the children to his residence.” An officer responded.
  • Brando Burgos, 19, 1608 Fourth St., Perry, was arrested on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
  • A caller said “she received information her house was backed into.” The caller said “she is on her way home” to her residence in Granger. The caller was transferred to the Dallas County Sheriff’s office.
  • A caller said “someone just attempted to open his apartment door,” but “the door was locked.” An officer responded.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
