October 27, 2017

  • A 16-year-old female from Perry was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct.
  • A 15-year-old female from Perry was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct.
  • A caller reported vandalism to a recreational vehicle. The caller said someone “broke a skylight and opened the compartment doors.” Officers responded and found “several motorhomes that had been opened and gone through.”
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and “requested to speak with an officer about her living situation.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported “he is missing a torch” from his garage. An officer responded.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “her garage had been striffled through as well as her vehicle.” An officer responded and found “both vehicles had been opened and gone through.”
  • A caller said “her husband had just advised her of two loose horses,” one brown and one white. Officers responded, and “the owner came out and got the horses.”
  • A caller said her two dogs were lost.

October 28, 2017

  • A caller said “someone tied two dogs to his daughter’s bike.” An officer responded and transported the animals to the Perry Animal Holding Facility.
  • A caller said she lost her wallet. The caller called again and said she found her wallet.
  • A caller said his dog was lost.
  • A caller said “he was missing some papers that were important,” but he “could not get into details about it.” The caller said “he believes that it was the employee that was just there and had left that took them.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported “a strange odor of marijuana coming from a residence.” It was determined the caller was calling from Perry, Ohio, a town of population 1,618 on the shore of Lake Erie.
  • A caller said he lost his debit card. An officer responded and advised the caller to cancel the card.

October 29, 2017

  • Patrolling officers of the Perry Police Department encountered “a suspicious person on a bike that took off on foot.” The suspicious person “left behind a backpack and a BMK bicycle,” which were “seized and placed into evidence” by the officers.
  • A caller reported a suspicious person sitting on a bench by a church. Officers responded and made contact with the person.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with a wallet she found. An officer responded, accepted the item and “logged it into evidence.”
  • A caller said “he just noticed his ladder was missing, and it was a couple of houses down now.” An officer responded. The caller called again and said “he actually moved his ladder and found it.”
  • A caller said “someone had gone through his garage and that some of his belongings were down at a neighbor’s house.” An officer responded.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. in order “to speak with an officer regarding stolen property.” An officer responded.
  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department “was flagged own” by someone who said “that her kids were chasing someone who was just in their garage.” An officer responded and detained someone who said he “was trying to avoid being seen due to his girlfriend having a warrant.” The detained person was released.
  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department “removed debris from” the roadway.
  • A caller said “she sees flashing lights and was not sure what was going on.” An officer responded.
  • (Corrected) Faith Ann Heyer, 26, 1001 Palmer St., #3, Emmetsburg, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension.
  • A caller said she caught a cat running at large. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility.

October 30, 2017

  • A caller said “people had made entry to apartment one with a bat and were destroying property.” Officers responded and “did not see any damage or a bat inside the apartment.”

*A criminal charge is merely and accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
