September 8, 2018

  • A caller said her sister’s husband “is threatening to take their childn” and the caller “wants to know if it is considered kidnapping.” An officer responded and said “it wouldn;t be considered kidnapping.” The officer “suggested they contact an attorney to get an order in place.”
  • A caller said “the neighbors behind them are about to pour cement to make a new driveway in the rear of their house.” The caller said she was “concerned they don’t have a permit to do so, and the cement will go over to their property because of the way they have dug.” An officer responded and advised the caller “to contact the building inspector on Monday.”
  • A caller said three dogs were running at large. An officer responded but did not find the pack.
  • A caller said she lost her cell phone. The phone was later found and brought to the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. The caller “came into the station” and “picked up her phone.”
  • Eva de Frisbie Reyes of Perry was issued a citation for driving without a valid driver’s license.
  • Ashley Perez of Perry was issued a citation for failure to obey a stop sign, failure to yield the right of way and driving without a valid driver’s license.
  • A caller said “her brother an dher father poured fresh concrete today, and somebody vandalized it.” An officer responded and found “someone threw two rocks and an egg on freshly poured concrete” and also inscribed “inappropriate words.”
  • A caller from the Dallas County Hospital reported a 16-year-old victim of a dog bite and said the dog was “reportedly current on vaccinations.” An officer responded.
  • Erik Baraka, 27, 1816 Warford St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of first-offense domestic abuse assault.
  • Ruben Emiliano Chavez, 43, 2108 Third St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of first-offense domestic abuse assault.
  • A caller from the Dallas County Hospital said a patient “there on a suicidal-ideation hold” left the hospital grounds. Officers responded. While officers patrolled the area, they received a second call informing them the patient “was back inside.”
  • A caller said “teenagers” were “screaming and cursing and being loud.” An officer responded but was “diverted from the call after coming upon a bloody male subjectwho was also intoxicated.”
  • Nick Valiant Moore, 21, 1209 W. Second St., Perry, was arrested on charges of first-offense public intoxication, first-offense domestic abuse assault-simple and contempt of court-violation of a no-contact/protective order.

September 9, 2018

  • A caller said “his neighbor has been loud all night.” The caller said “he went to speak with the person,” and “the male punched him in the face,” and the caller “punched him back.” Officers responded and made contact with the caller and the neighbor, who “agreed to stay away from each other and keep the noise down.”
  • A caller said his dog was lost.
  • A caller said someone stole his cell phone. An officer responded.
  • Ellen Mae Olsen of 615 Fifth St., Perry, was issued a citation for second-offense dog at large.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
