  • A caller “called in to report that his wife had left the residence,” and the “landlord is in the process of taking her off the lease.” The caller said he “wanted to make officers aware that none of her belongings were left behind.”
  • A caller reported an abandoned bicycle. An officer responded.
  • Donald Ray Joiner, 68, 2524 Perry Park Ave, #2, Perry, was issued a citation for unsafe backing on a highway.
  • A caller said her dog was lost. A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department located the dog and returned it to the caller.
  • A caller said she caught a dog running at large. An officer responded and found the dog’s owner “was on scene and picked up the dog.”
  • A bus driver with the Perry Community School District reported a school bus violation. An officer responded.
  • A caller “said she keeps receiving messages on her cell phone” that appear to be a scam. An officer responded and confirmed the texts were a scam.
  • A caller from Guthrie Center said she was “worried about the well being of her granddaughter.” The caller “said she saw her daughter today, and she did not have the baby with her.” The caller “said the baby has little belongings and is worried because she doesn’t know the man they are with.” An officer responded.
  • “While returning to the police department with a patrol car,” an employee of the Perry Police Department “was flagged down by peoeple wanting to report an accident.” The employee “advised the people she was not an officer but would have someone respond.” An officer responded but “was not able to locate an accident in the area.”
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded but did not find the dog.
  • A caller “requested an officer respond to his vacant rental property” because “the door is open, a window is broken and things are moved around inside.” Officers responded, “cleared the building and determined no one was inside.”
  • A caller reported “a group of juveniles playing on the rocks.” The caller “said she hollered at the kids,” and “they took off.” An officer responded, “spoke to the juveniles” and “advised them not to play on the rocks.” The caller called again and “said the kids were now harassing her for calling the police.” The officer responded “but was not able to locate the juveniles.”
  • A caller said “items are missing from his garage.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said she caught a cat running at large. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility.
  • A caller said “he was assaulted by his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “her purse was stolen sometime today.” An officer responded.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
