A Perry woman was arrested Sunday after allegedly bloodying her husband’s nose in an argument that turned physical.
Amanda Irene Nicolaisen, 41, of 704 Fourth St., Perry, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.
The incident began about 7 p.m. Sunday in the 1400 block of Evelyn Street, where officers of the Perry Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
The officers made contact with “a married couple in a camper” who said they were “having an argument about money and other things,” according to court records.
The male victim said he was trying to get into the camper, when Nicolaisen “began to grab onto him and slapped him in the face,” according to court records.
The officers observed that the victim “had a bloody nose.”
Nicolaisen “admitted to slapping the male” but said the victim “had held her down at one point and hit her, too,” according to court records. The victim “said he did not hit the female half.”
A witness said the couple “began to push and shove, and then he saw one of them slap the other in the face,” according to court records.
Nicolaisen is held in the Dallas County Jail in advance of an initial appearance in Dallas County District Court.
