BRENTWOOD, Tennessee — Perry’s Orscheln Farm and Home store will become a Tractor Supply Co. store in a deal that will close Thursday, the Tennessee-based Tractor Supply Co. announced Wednesday.

The $320 million deal, which required U.S. Federal Trade Commission approval, will see Tractor Supply acquire all 166 Orscheln Farm and Home stores and then sell off 85 of them, including 73 locations to Bomgaars Supply Inc. and 12 stores to Buchheit Enterprises Inc.

Tractor Supply will retain 81 of the stores, including the Perry outlet at 401 First Ave. and 10 others in Iowa, the company said. After the deal closes, the company will be left with annual revenues over $14 billion, more than 2,100 Tractor Supply stores and about 50,000 employees.

Tractor Supply Co., the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the U.S., initiated the acquisition of Orscheln Farm and Home in February 2021. The Perry store moved in 2016 from 2905 Willis Ave., its location for more than 30 years, to its present First Avenue location.
