Merrymakers lost control of a recreational fire on Perry’s south side Saturday night, igniting nearby trees and bringing the Perry Volunteer Fire Department to the scene to control the blaze.
There were no injuries reported.
A caller reported the fire about 9 p.m. in the 19100 block of Liisi Lane in Perry on property owned by Meybellin Gladamez-Cerna and Jesus Cerna-Hertado, according to county records.
The Perry Police Department also responded.
