Christina Marie Lachner 41, of Perry arrested Thursday on a charged of first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.

A Perry woman was arrested early Thursday after allegedly assaulting her husband in the home.

Christina Marie Lachner 41, of 1606 Fifth St., Perry, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.

The incident began about 1:15 a.m. Thursday in the 1600 block of Fifth Street, where officers of the Perry Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.

The officers made contact with the victim and observed “scratch marks on his neck and upper-chest area,” according to court records.

The officers determined that Lachner “was the primary aggressor” due in part to having
fingernails “with blood on them and red,” according to court records.

Lachner is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing April 5 in Dallas County District Court.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
