The Animal Rescue League of Iowa Inc. announced Friday a $1,000 reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the suspicious dog deaths near Dawson, first reported March 20 in ThePerryNews.com.

The offered reward is made in partnership with the Dallas County Sheriff’s office, the Animal Rescue League said.

Volunteer sandbaggers in Dawson happened to spot the animals on Saturdaym March 16, and they were plucked from the flood waters near the bridge over the Raccoon River.

The animals had been shot, and each was placed is a separate garbage bag, according to an eye witness.

Anyone with information about the cruelly killed animals is asked to call 515-993-4567.
