A rural Perry woman asks the public’s help in finding her missing horse, a pony named Grey who stands 43 inches tall. He is a dark seal brown with long, thick, lighter colored mane and tail.
“I noticed him missing when I went out Thursday night to take care of them,” said Erin Cavalier, who lives just south of the intersection of U.S. Highway 169 and Iowa Highway 141. “It was 10 p.m. I called the sheriff and texted my neighbor who has horses.”
Cavalier posted her missing horse on Facebook and received several helpful and encouraging comments. One neighbor noted the number of attractive mares in the vicinity.
“I’ve been working everyday,” Cavalier said, “so in the evenings I’ve been driving around the neighborhood while it’s still light for a bit. It’s been very hard. I’m working for the next two weeks straight.”
Anyone seeing the stallion is asked to call Cavalier at 515-306-3770.
