Roxy Schwartz, a member of the Nu Alpha Gamma Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, presented a program on her trip last year to Ecuador at the chapter’s March 2 meeting.
Schwartz traveled with the help of a Roads Scholarship from Upsilon State Chapter.
She said Ecuador is listed third on the AARP list of the cheapest places to retire due to reasonable cost of living there. Her journey included visits to farms and schools, and she experienced a session with natural healers.
Schwartz also brought back several souvenirs which she shared with the group, including some charming pieces of folk art. She said she anticipates returning to the country to further experience the Ecuadoran culture.
