Scottish Fox cuts ribbon on first anniversary of downtown trade

Owners Cherlyn and Mark Miner hosted a full house Friday afternoon when The Scottish Fox at 1118 Second St. celebrated its first anniversary in business with a ribbon cutting ceremony by the Perry Chamber of Commerce.

Merrymakers filled the sales floor, sipping wine and nibbling snacks and admiring the store’s wide range of new, used and repurposed furniture and accessories for the home.

Friday, November 3rd at 4:00 p.m. at The Scottish Fox for their Holiday Open House and Ribbon Cutting. The Ribbon Cutting ceremony will take place shortly after 4:00 p.m. followed by snacks and drinks.

Cherlyn opened the store — named in honor of her Scottish grandfather — Nov. 11, 2016, and the business has been thriving since then, she said.

The celebration will continue this weekend with a Holiday Open House Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m., featuring drinks, snacks and heartwarming decor.

“Please stop in to see all the new holiday merchandise and congratulate The Scottish Fox on one year of business in downtown Perry,” said Emily Leslie, Perry Chamber of Commerce marketing director.
