Severe thunderstorms are possible across Iowa late Saturday afternoon and evening. The primary threat is large hail up to ping-pong-size hail, with a lesser threat being damaging wind gusts and perhaps an isolated tornado.

Localized flash flooding cannot be ruled out where recent rains from Friday and earlier Saturday morning have saturated soils, which might lead to increased runoff rates. will update this story as weather information becomes available.
