Will Nicholson of Perry and Bob Schmidt of Perry were among five Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) students recently selected as National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) scholars.
Nicholson and Schmidt joined fellow DMACC Boone campus Scott Dillavou of Ames, Alexis Slade of Waukee and Dillon Hauser of Ankeny.
Dillavou, Slade, Hauser and Nicholson have been invited to attend the NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS) onsite workshop at Langley Research Center in Hampton, Va., May 22-25. Schmidt will attend the NASA NCAS onsite workshop at Stennis Space Center in Stennis Space Center, Miss., April 11-14.
