An SUV and a passenger car collided at the intersection of Iowa Highway 141 and Iowa Highway 144 Monday about 1:15 p.m.
No injuries were reported in the mishap.
The car sustained damage to the rear passenger quarter and came to rest facing southward in the southbound lane of First Avenue. The SUV sustained front-end damage and came to rest facing westward on the north should of Iowa Highway 141.
Perry Public Works Department employee Brian Eiteman, who is also an assistant chief with the Perry Volunteer Fire Department, was working the garbage route and was the first on the scene.
The Perry Police Department and Dallas County EMS also responded.
