An armed robbery occurred about 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Kum & Go at 3105 Grand Prairie Parkway in Waukee, according to law enforcement radio traffic.
A gray pickup truck reportedly left the scene and is sought by law enforcement.
One suspect is in custody after reportedly fleeing on foot southward on Grand Prairie Parkway.
The suspect is described as a 19-year-old male. He was taken into custody about 7 p.m. in timber near the 118 mile marker of U.S. Interstate 80, according to radio traffic.
The make was examined by the Waukee EMS.
The Waukee Police Department, Dallas County Sheriff’s office, West Des Moines Police Department and Waukee EMS responded to the incident, which remains under investigation.
