A Jamaica man fell down a flight of stairs after he was Tasered by a Dallas County Deputy Sheriff early Wednesday in the course of a domestic assault investigation in Granger.

Danny Wayne Fees, 24, of Jamaica was arrested at the scene about 1:30 a.m. by Dallas County Deputy Sheriff Joey Marchant.

Dallas County EMS was dispatched to the scene of the incident because both the victim of the alleged assault and the alleged assailant sustained minor injuries. Both men refused medical treatment.

“The victim refused three times to press charges,” according to a statement made by Deputy Sheriff Marchant at the scene.

Fees faces charges of interference with official acts, according to records of the Dallas County Jail, where he was booked and reportedly later bailed out.

Marchant’s report of the incident has yet to be reviewed and approved by a supervisor, according to a spokesperson from the Dallas County Sheriff’s office. The spokesperson said the usual day-shift supervisors are attending an out-of-town conference, and the night-shift supervisor is not yet on duty.
