Officers of the Perry Police Department manage a bomb threat made early Saturday in the police department parking lot.

The person who made a bomb threat early Saturday in the parking lot of the Perry Police Department was taken into custody about 3:30 a.m. without further incident.

The circumstances leading to the standoff with law enforcement are still unknown at this hour, but radio traffic indicated the incident began about 1:45 a.m., when the person left the police department lobby and was then confronted by officers of the Perry Police Department.

A negotiator from the Boone County Sheriff’s office participated remotely in communicating with the suspect, according to radio traffic.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s office, Woodward Police Department, Dallas County EMS and Perry First Responders also responded.
