A single-vehicle rollover accident on Minburn's east side about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday led to a narrow escape for the driver.

A single-vehicle rollover accident occurred in the dense fog on Minburn’s east side about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday when a vehicle left the roadway and came to rest upside down in the standing ditch water.

The driver escaped the overturned vehicle with only minor injuries, according to emergency responders on scene.

The vehicle was apparently traveling westbound on County Road F31 and was entering the city of Minburn when it left the roadway on the curve where 195th Street turns into Second Street.

The vehicle rolled into the water-filled right of way on the southwest side of the curve and overturned among the trees.

A second westbound vehicle was apparently following the first and partially left the roadway, with its rear quarters stuck in the saturated shoulder.

The dense fog probably played a role in the mishap.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s office, Minburn First Responders and Dallas County EMS responded to the incident.
