Volunteers to clean up RRVT in Adel Saturday

The view of the RRVT east from U.S. Highway 169 in Adel will be landscaped by volunteers Saturday.

Volunteers will clean the Adel portion of the Raccoon River Valley Trail from 18th Street to Nile Kinnick Drive Saturday.

The Adel Partners Chamber of Commerce will host a Raccoon River Valley Trail Clean-Up Day Saturday on the trail in Adel.

Volunteers are asked to gather at 9 a.m. at the Pedal Plaza trailhead at U.S. Highway 169 and theĀ  RRVT, where a team of 20 will plant greenery and add mulch to four blocks of landscaping for fall and winter.

The rest of the volunteer group will walk the trail from 18th Street to the bridge, picking up trash and branches.

Volunteers may park in the Lincoln Savings Bank parking lot at U.S. highways 6 and 169.
