A Waukee man was arrested on an assault charge last weekend after a domestic dispute with his wife.
Matthew David Danger, 50, of 960 N.E. Fox Valley Court, Waukee, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.
The incident occurred about 11 a.m. Dec. 10 in the 900 block of N.E. Fox Valley Court during the course of a domestic dispute between Danger and his wife.
The victim told an officer of the Waukee Police Department that Danger allegedly “pushed her down” and caused “a small laceration to her hand and a bump to the back side of her head,” according to court records.
Danger told the officer that the victim “had fallen and cut her hand and bumped her head” in the course of a struggle over a cell phone.
Danger was held in the Dallas County Jail prior to his release on his own recognizance. He is scheduled for arraignment Jan. 26 in Dallas County District Court.
