Ten people in the Adel-De Soto-Minburn Community School District have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, since Friday, Nov. 13, according to communications from ADM Superintendent Greg Dufoe.

The positive cases included three ADM High School students, two De Soto Intermediate School students, one De Soto Intermediate School staff member, one ADM Middle School student, one ADM Middle School staff member and two Adel Elementary School students.

In addition, 10 people were quarantined as close contacts of the infected students and staff members.

The ADM Community School District had about 1,900 students enrolled in 2019, with about 500 in the high school. The district’s Return to Learn Plan calls for 100% attendance and features many virus-mitigation tactics, such as context-appropriate face coverings for students in grades three through 12.
