A woman spent a week on the floor after falling in a house two miles south of Dallas Center (not the house shown here). She was found alive Sunday night.

A woman had a fall in a farm house two miles south of Dallas Center and apparently spent most of the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day on floor of the house, unable to reach a telephone or otherwise summon help.

Radio traffic in the Dallas County Sheriff’s office indicated the distressed person was finally found alive Sunday night about 8 p.m. “after crawling around for a week.”

It is unknown at this hour how the woman was discovered or how her state was communicated to law enforcement authorities. The Dallas County Sheriff’s office and Dallas County EMS were summoned to the scene.

A sheriff’s office employee said no official information on the incident will be released until the Dallas County Sheriff’s administrative offices reopen Tuesday.

ThePerryNews.com will update this story as information becomes available.
