For Heaven’s sake, it seemed to me the polling place for Ward One in Perry was at the public library for umpteen years. Just why was it moved to Mt. Olivet for this and the last election? I’ve heard no logical explanation for that. It certainly can’t be for parking availability. At most given times during the weekday, there’s at least a few spaces on Railroad Street the DMACC students don’t use. There’s the north side of Willis near the hotel. There’s a few on 2nd. It’s a short walk to the caboose lot. If someone tells me the change was for parking, it would be all I could do not to laugh in their face. After all the years it was at the library, it was moved. There was no logical reason given for that.
