The bridge over Little Beaver Creek on 130th Street east of Bouton was demolished last week in the first phase of a replacement project that will see the road closed until mid-July.
The road, also known as County Road R30, is closed between Bouton and Quinlan Avenue.
According to the Dallas County Secondary Roads Department, local access for residents will be maintained during the course of construction, but there will be no access for traffic across Little Beaver Creek.
Through traffic is advised to follow the marked detour routes of County Road R30 south out of Bouton along O Avenue and on Iowa Highway 141 and Iowa Highway 210.
