Nu Alpha Gamma of Dallas County, a group of active and retired professional women educators, is currently accepting applications for its two annual scholarships.

Each scholarship is worth $400 and is awarded in mid-April to a college junior or senior, male or female, majoring in education.

Applicants must have graduated from a high school in Dallas County in order to be eligible. The deadline for applications is April 1, 2018.

The group of dedicated educators holds a Grant-in-Aid Silent Auction each December among the members in order to raise funds for the scholarships. The mission of Nu Alpha Gamma, a chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, is the promotion of the professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education.

For more information or to apply for a scholarship, contact Maureen Becker at 515-979-4682, 515-465-2034 or mrgebecker@gmail.com.
