Six starters return for the Jayettes, who can no longer be penciled in as an "automatic win" on any team's schedule.

GRIMES — Perry won a pair of events in placing seventh out of 10 teams at the Mustang Invitational May 1.

Scott James claimed the high jump with a clearance of 6 feet, with James, Nic Wilhlemi, Reece Dunlap and Keegan Pfau winning the medley relay with a season-best time of 3 minutes, 45.04 seconds.

Marcus Meri scored points for fifth place with a personal-best effort of 53.44 ticks in the 400, with Dunlap seventh in the 100 (12.18) and Keegan Wolfe seventh in the 400 (1:02.63).

Pfau, Dane McCarty, Austin Hay and Zachary Thompson were fourth in the 4×800 in 8:47, with Wilhelmi, Nic Fellom, Manasses Martinez and Eli Saemisch sixth in the 4×200 in 1:40.91 while Dunlap, Meri, Hay and Pfau were seventh in 3:39.95.
