The Hometown Heritage will host a dinner event celebrating the history of the Carnegie Library Museum Thursday, Oct. 12 from 5:30-9 p.m.
The event will begin with a wine-and-beer social in the lobby of the Hotel Pattee from 5:30-6:15 p.m., followed by a three-course meal from 6:15-9 p.m. to be served inside the Carnegie.
The dinner — house salad with dried fruit, nuts, and bleu cheese, Steak de Burgo, vegetables vinaigrette, duchess potatoes, and cranberry vanilla cake — will be prepared by the Hotel Pattee chefs.
Lake City author and historian Darcy Maulsby selected the menu and will introduce and give the history of each course.
The evening will also include a tour of the Carnegie Library Museum and a presentation on the museum’s history by Hometown Heritage Director Bill Clark.
Seating is limited to 40 guests, and tickets must be bought in advance. Tickets are $50, and all proceeds support Hometown Heritage’s mission to preserve and share Perry’s history.
