CARLISLE — Cold, windy and downright unpleasant were the combination of factors that turned Monday’s girls Raccoon River Conference meet at Warrior Run Golf Course into a less-than-pleasant experience.

Scores for most players and teams rose appreciably thanks to the imperfect weather, but Carroll was able to produce first, third and fourth lowest individual scores to win the team title with a 369. ADM was the runner-up at 388, with Ballard winning a tiebreaker for third with Carlisle after both posted scores of 403. Bondurant-Farrar was fifth at 414, with Perry (493) and Winterset (502) well back. Boone does not have a girls varsity team.

Perry was without Sara Sweet, who had a conflict with an exam, but did receive the strong from Hannah Roberts.

“I was happy for Hannah,” Jayette head coach Joel Happel said. “This was her two best rounds of nine holes all year.”

Roberts paced Perry with a card of 58-54–112, a circuit that included two pars and a birdie.

Laurann Perry had two pars in shooting 61-60–121, with Skylar Cunningham tallying a birdie in her trip of 64-62–126 while Caley Hager turned in a 65-69–134.

Carroll’s Haley Hoffman was RRC champion with a 45-41–86, with ADM’s Taylor Boorn runner-up with a 41-46–87.

Madison Houge (46-47–93) led Ballard, Amy Stock (52-43–95) paced Bondurant-Farrar. Macey Brower (52-46–98) Carlisle and Baylee Haggard (58-56–114) Winterset.
