  • Ben Campbell reported the unauthorized use of his credit card. Campbell discovered his card was missing and informed his bank. The bank reported three transactions on the account that Campbell was responsible for. An officer is investigating.
  • A traffic stop was performed in the 1500 block of N. Elm Street, resulting in Cindy Kennedy of Jefferson being issued a citation for excessive speed.
  • Susan Forkner reported a road-rage incident occurring in the 100 block of W. Lincoln Way. Forkner said a vehicle began to back from a parking spot, so she honked her horn to warn the driver of her presence. The vehicle then followed Forkner’s vehicle, and a male passenger was yelling obscenities at her.
  • The A & W Restaurant reported a bicycle at 300 N. Elm St. that was in the bike rack for several weeks. An officer placed the bike in the impound lot.
  • Karah Brown requested an officer accompany her to 500 S. Maple St. in order to complete a civil property exchange.
  • Harry Coil said he received the IRS scam phone call. Coil knew of the scam and did not give out any information to the callers.
  • An officer assisted a deputy in investigating a juvenile who was caught with an e-cigarette on a school trip to Spring Lake Park. School officials also located other e-cigarettes in the student’s backpack. The juvenile female was issued a citation for first-offense possession of tobacco/vapor products.
  • Jeremy Orfield spoke with an officer about a minor in possession of tobacco. The officer is investigating.
  • Alexis Jordan requested an officer at Russell Park for a civil child custody issue. An officer responded and assisted in the matter.
  • A traffic stop was performed in the 200 block of W. Russell Street, resulting in Mary Bauer of Jefferson being issued a citation for operation without registration.
  • An officer was requested to conduct a welfare check on a female at 606 S. Walnut St. The officer spoke with the person at this address, and she was fine.
  • An officer made contact with a group of juveniles in the Greene County High School parking lot at 101 Ram Drive. The officer warned the group of curfew ending at 11:30 p.m. and sent them home.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
