Madrid eliminates Panorama netters

MADRID — Panorama’s volleyball season ended Tuesday with a 3-0 postseason loss at Madrid. The hosts Tigers prevailed with scores of 30-28, 25-9 and 25-15.

Madrid (12-15) was led by Shayla Peters, who finished with 16 kills, 19 digs and three blocks, and by Ashley Moore, who tallied nine kills while making 21 digs. Peters served 16-of-16 with five aces and Moore 15-of-16 with two aces.

Brooke Halterman paced Panorama (7-25) with 12 kills, with Morgan Johnk making five kills, Nicole Rolfes four, Hope Wilderman three and Carson Fisher and Kennedy Kuta once each. Halterman had five blocks, Kuta two, and Fisher, Johnk and Wilderman one apiece.

Kuta had 24 assists and Hannah Woodworth one, with Johnk recording 11 digs, Rolfes 10 and Woodworth seven. Olivia Richey and Halterman had four digs apiece, Erica Block and Kuta three each and Fisher and Wilderman two apiece.

Rolfes was 14-15-1 and Kuta 10-10-1 behind the line, with Johnk 11-of-12, Woodworth 8-of-9, Halterman 4-of-5 and Wilderman 3-of-4.

Seniors Fisher, Rolfes and Wilderman all played their final game for the Panthers in the loss.
