Perry lead-off hitter Kaleb Olejniczak puts the ball in play against visiting North Polk Tuesday.

Kolten Arnold smacked two doubles and drove in a pair of runs and Shane Hochstetler kept the Perry bats quiescent for five innings as visiting Norwalk claimed a 5-1 at Progressive Field Wednesday.

Hochstetler allowed one run on three hits and two walks while striking out five in five frames to collect the victory. Tyler Steward struck out two in an inning of relief, with Jake Endres walking one and striking out one in his inning of relief for the Warriors.

Norwalk scored twice in the top of the first and twice again in the second inning before adding their final run in the fourth.

Perry did their only damage in the home half of the fourth. Adan Medina doubled and eventually scored on an Alexis Garrido sacrifice fly to right field to trim the deficit to 5-1 for the hosts, but the Bluejays could come no closer.

Garrido allowed five runs (four earned) on eight hits and two walks in four innings of work. He finished with three strikeouts, with Medina fanning two batters in three frames of scoreless relief.

Perry is off until starting a busy slate Tuesday with a trip to DC-G. A visit to Carroll follows on Wednesday and a road game at Boone is scheduled for Thursday before ADM stops by Progressive Field June 2.
