Ogden roughs up Panorama baseball, softball teams

OGDEN — The visiting baseball and softball teams from Panorama were treated rudely on the scoreboard by host Ogden Monday, with the Bulldogs posting a 15-0 win in four innings in the baseball game and a 15-3 victory in three innings of softball action.

Carter Church allowed a hit and two walks in pitching three innings in the hardball tilt, with Taylor Engleen allowing one hit in one inning of work. Church had five strikeouts and Engleen two.

The Bulldogs (13-13 overall, 10-6 in WCAC play) were the recipients of 11 walks from Panther (3-13, 3-12) pitchers. Church had a single and two doubles, with Chad Mohr and Kaden Kruse each hitting triples.

Ogden (18-7, 13-1) scored six first-inning runs and nine more in the second to end the softball game early.

Kennedy Kruse allowed three earned runs to Panorama (3-15, 1-12) in the first inning and surrendered a total of four hits while striking out three.

Ashton Boggess had a triple and Meredith Adreon a double while Ellee Laws had a single and a double and drove in three runs for Ogden. Kami Wheelock was 2-for-3 with four RBIs and Kim Christensen 2-for-2 as the top seven in the Bulldog lineup each scored twice.
