A pickup truck hauling sweetcorn left the roadway of the Iowa Highway 141 Diagonal and overturned Monday morning, scattering its produce along the eastbound lanes and sending the driver to the hospital.
The driver was transported by air ambulance to a Des Moines hospital, according to a spokesperson from the Dallas County Sheriff’s office.
The incident occurred about 7:45 a.m. in the 15300 block of westbound Iowa Highway 141 Diagonal near T Avenue.
The Dallas County Sheriff’s office is investigating.
The Woodward First Responders, Woodward Volunteer Fire Department, Granger First Responders, Granger Volunteer Fire Department, Bouton Volunteer Fire Department and Dallas County EMS also responded.
